Donations
Heartfelt thanks to all who donated during 401Gives. On April 1 of each year, Rhode Island rallies around its local charities, their causes and the people they serve during the statewide 401Gives campaign. YNFP is gratified to have benefited from this wildly successful campaign, which netted $5 million for hundreds of RI nonprofits.
Don't worry if you missed it! You can always contribute to YNFP here. Here's why you should consider it:
Times are hard for many RI families. We're here to help. But YNFP itself is straining to keep its shelves stocked with nutritious food. Cuts to government support for institutions like the RI Food Bank and for programs like local farm-to-pantry nonprofits are limiting what we can offer our neighbors in need. This, even as the lines at our door keep getting longer. So please give what you can.
The RI Food Bank's 2025 status report paints an increasingly bleak picture, with food insecurity affecting one in three households in Rhode Island. Over 100,000 people sought food assistance in November alone. Read the full report here.
Ready for spring flowers?
Pick up a bouquet at the Stop & Shop at 333 W. River St. in Providence during the month of April, and a portion of the proceeds will go to help feed struggling families in your community.
YNFP is gratified to be chosen once again for this charitable program, which, over time, has contributed nearly $650 to help us help our neighbors put food on the table.
Thanks to all who participate!
